I’d like to take some time and address something that the majority of us know and need. Money. To my 80’s and 90’s babies, times are changing and the cost of living on this planet is only getting higher. Now is the time to exercise some money management skills. Instead of saving up to go buy the newest pair of $200 Jordan’s or that brand new $500+ iPhone, put that money away. Invest in yourself first rather than hand it over to some multi-millionaire. I mean think about it, wouldn’t you rather use that money to make MORE money? At this point, some of you might be asking how to do that. For starters, invest some of your hard-earned dollars into a professional quality camera. Do you know how much some of these photographers make? Or maybe invest in some Adobe software like Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc. and get into graphic design or website building. All of us are good at something or at the very least interested in learning something so figure out how to make some money off of it. The possibilities are literally endless on ways you can invest in yourself. This is something that the public school system doesn’t encourage us to do and that’s how to be an entrepreneur, be your own boss. I’m sure we’ve all heard the phrase “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”, so learn a new skill while the time is right. Don’t depend on one income to make a living because you never know when things will change. Please think about this the next time you’re ready to go throw away hundreds of dollars on things you don’t really need.
