A couple great minds over the past year have been reinforcing the necessity of knowledge of self to me. And not the cool packaged kind for $19.95, or whatever–no, real knowledge of self. The kind that only develops after innumerable hours of researching, dialogue, and reflection. These great minds took the time to remind me that other avenues taken in the interest of liberation have not worked, and are simply not the answers. And yet, these are the same avenues we continue to push for. Why?
Most teachers and leaders offer no truly sensible solutions, no new information, and no direction. The same propaganda has been promulgated for decades but has yet to bring about that highly sought after change. Followers are encouraged to listen, buy products and lend their support, yet they fail to help cultivate the seeds of critical thinking and objective analysis that lie dormant in most of our minds–rendering our conversations fruitless and actions futile at our own expense. Which in itself should make you question whose interests they are really serving.
The change that many of us are looking for cannot be made within this current system. It is against its very nature. This system is not one that respects humanity, it dehumanizes and devalues. Our worth is measured by what we have, not who we are. The solutions will come once we all achieve the same level of understanding of what it is we’re dealing with. Change has to be initiated from within each of us. But, we all have to collectively define what change that is–undefined goals are counterproductive. Until then, we will be trapped in this vicious cycle for generations to come.
This video is a re-enactment of the “Silent Cries” chapter from Jiwe’s autobiography, “War of the Blood in My Veins.” Jiwe is a member of the Bloods street gang in Newark, NJ who has dedicated his life to bringing about positive change and shedding light on the gang scene in Newark since beating his trial and being released from prison a few years back. He’s a very inspiring man with a whole lot to say. Be sure to check out his many other videos on YouTube.
Here’s an eye-opener for those of you who still refuse to see America for what it really is, today. This system does not favor the common man. This is why I stress to everyone the importance of becoming an entrepreneur. There are more than enough people in the world, let alone this country, with more than enough money to bring about some serious changes for the people. We need a collective of like-minded entrepreneurs to climb the ranks and redistribute the wealth to ourselves because we CAN NOT depend on those in power to do it for us. There is no excuse for the state of America today. We are being taken advantage of. This will not be an easy task but I strongly believe that it can be done. Master your craft and turn your passion into profit. What this chart clearly demonstrates is that America is a land of consumers. Consumers with the potential and the capability of becoming producers. They NEED us to be consumers in order to fatten their pockets. These corporations benefit off the existence of a middle and lower class they DO NOT want us to be empowered. In my opinion, this is why public schools never encourage us to become entrepreneurs. Some consumers manage to break free from this vicious cycle and become a producer only to continue down the same road as some of these bloodsuckers. Find your LUCRAMOTIVE(S) and push. Redistribute a portion of your wealth back into these communities and help people because we are being shown every day by the people who do have the means to really change things that they don’t want to and have no desire to. I would also suggest any parents out there who might be reading this to encourage your children to become entrepreneurs especially if they have any kind of talent. They should not be discouraged or have to suppress it their whole lives in order to make it in the world. It’s time for a change.
