Our mantra at Lucramotives is: “Know Your Worth.” Knowing our worth is fundamental in order to succeed in our endeavors. We have to know what each of us can bring to the table. To accomplish this, we have to first know ourselves. Study world history–especially that which pertains to your ancestry. Study the human anatomy–learn how our bodies operate and what you can do to make it more efficient. Study our ecosystem and how are very being is dependent on it. These are just a few examples to get us started.
Having a decent understanding of each of these subjects will give you a new perspective not only of the world, but of yourself. You see, we live in a world today that wants to categorize us. We feel the need to carry certain labels, often times not even of our choosing, but we accept them. From a young age, many of us are taught to fit into a certain mold or else we will be looked at as failures or outcasts. This often leads us down the path of having to compromise our morals, our dreams, our happiness, our VALUE just to fit in. Just to keep up and go with the flow so we don’t get left behind.
Lucramotives strives to empower everyone in all walks of life. We encourage you to never compromise your value as a human being. Respect yourself, believe in yourself, but, first, KNOW YOURSELF. There is no limit to what we could accomplish collectively with this fundamental way of not just thinking, but living. It all starts with self.
I took several months off from this site to collect myself. To be honest, I just had lost the motivation that I had when I first started this venture. After countless hours of thought and reflection, I’ve come to understand that this is my life’s mission and am now fully committed to seeing it succeed.
Lucramotives, as I think I have explained here before, is much more than an attempt at a catchy gimmick: it is a lifestyle, a movement. What exactly does this word mean? To me, it means progress; it means inspiration; it means creativity. Lucramotives is a hybridization of the words “lucrative,” “motives” and “locomotive.” Lucrative is not wholly used in a capitalistic sense, but also in a figurative sense. Whatever you can gain from spiritually, physically, or mentally–that is “lucrative”. And that is what our “motives” consist of: gaining for the betterment of ourselves in the interest of helping others do the same. It plays off of the word “locomotive” because once this idea is set into motion, it is a force that cannot be stopped. My ultimate goal with Lucramotives is to become a beacon of hope unto the world and future generations. I, as well as those whom are proponents of this movement, strive to empower and uplift the broken, hopeless, misguided, “underachievers,” downtrodden, overlooked and unheard members of society.
So in conclusion, I encourage all those who stop by this page to feel free to leave comments on our posts–and please like our Facebook and follow us on Twitter @Lucramotives to keep up with us. We have much more in store as we continue to build and grow. Right now, our primary focus will be on spreading our message and building up our name. Thank you all for your time and visiting our page.
When you look at those we would consider to be successful, what is one thing you noticed? Aside from the dedication, perseverance, hard work, etc. what was one of, if not the biggest, reasons for many of them to become rich?
Besides those who were born into it, many wealthy people came from the bottom. They know what struggle feels like. The common denominator in many of these millionaires’ stories, as to the reason they wanted to make acquire riches, was they wanted to do it for a cause greater than themselves. One of these causes includes providing for their family. With that kind of driving force, you are ready to take on the world.
So, what is your driving force? It is my belief that as long as your goals are foundated on something for the greater good of someone/something other than yourself, then it will happen. Those people willing to go the extra mile and sacrifice everything for someone/something else will certainly get what they deserve in due time. Why? Because with that much passion and that strong of a desire, they will accomplish that goal or die trying; IF it is for something bigger than themselves.
The focusing of your time and energy on your goals will often draw that proverbial time between you and those around you and create some mixed feelings. On one hand, some will hate and say you’ve changed. On the other hand, some will support you and be right by your side. The best option for aspiring entrepreneurs, in my opinion, is to ensure every single person you keep in your immediate circle serves a purpose. There must be some sort of mutual understanding between everybody where everyone has a role to play in each other’s lives. After all, who wouldn’t want to take their friends with them all the way to the top so that everyone can eat? Don’t make this strictly about yourself because it will take a collective effort to get where you want to be — there’s no way around that. Those that are constantly negative and not supporting you will only deter you from your path and need to be left by the wayside as you make this journey. Synchronicity is the key. Keep your vision clear, my friends.
Nas is hands down one of my most favorite musicians of all time. This song here gives listeners a raw example of what it truly is to HUSTLE! The term “hustle” over the years has wrongly been attributed with various negative stigmas; such as to drug deal or scam people out of their money. These people couldn’t be any more wrong. To hustle is the American way. It is to get up and go get it, by any means. It is a term — no…a lifestyle that many misunderstand. Hustlers are anybody that have had to work hard and sacrifice a lot just to make a dollar and better their lives. Hustlers are anybody that have persevered and stayed down in order to reach the success they have earned today. But, I digress. Listen close to the words in the song and you will see what being a “hustler” is all about.
“Took my homies to the water, taught ’em how to fish
Some n****s lazy, don’t rather you feed ’em – I said I’m done”
Just as gold must be put through fire in order to be purified; so, too, must we endure the raging flames and unrelenting heat of fire to purify ourselves. On the path to success, it is inevitable that we will have to be scorched by the flames of trial and error so that we may build up not only our knowledge, but our confidence and character, as well. We must come to the realization that we are the blacksmiths of our future. We possess the power to forge and shape our lives in any way we wish to. But, the forging of our future is much like the forging of a sword. You have to repeatedly put yourself through the fire and withstand the beatings and poundings you will take along the way; but, it will only strengthen us and put us that much closer to reaching the ultimate goal. Keep going.
One of the keys to becoming successful in any venture is to maintain a positive attitude. That means, rather than focusing and wasting your time and energy complaining about a problem, conjure up a solution. Shoot, if you already identified the problem, you’re already halfway there. Procrastination is a territory all too familiar for many us. In fact, many of us often times LOOK for a reason not to keep going in spite of the many obstacles we are faced with. Remember, it’s not the fact that you fell down that matters, but if you have the courage and determination to stand up again.
